Yesterday Dinner At Olive Garden Federal Way | Tacoma
Haven’t been to Olive Garden in ages, was lazy to cook yesterday and kind of missing pasta, so we decided to dine at one in Federal Way.
For a commercial restaurant chain, the look is still I remember, but the menu has changed a lot. What change I can’t tell, since the last time I visited one was so so long ago. But I do remember a more elaborate menu than this, and it feels more commercial than I remembered.
Now, one thing for sure is different is the wine tasting. You can taste up to 3 wine, on the house. This is cool. But for someone like me who doesn’t drink much, I was already feeling it before I even look at the menu.
So free wine tasting is cool, however, unfortunately, I did not like anything I tasted. So I went with something that can’t go wrong, I got a Blue Moon.
Started with a soup, Zuppa Toscana, from the menu: “Spicy Italian sausage, fresh kale and russet potatoes in a creamy broth. ” It was not bad actually, it was a good start.
And for dinner, I had the braised beef & tortelloni, it was again, surprisingly good. In fact, both the food and soup tasted a lot better than some of the so call gourmet restaurant I have been to.
Overall, it was some good dinning, both the flavor and portion are there, to go with decent price. Will I be a regular here? Not really. But for a lazy-to-cook-Thursday-night, it worked out perfectly.
